I must tell i love all Pixar movies. Here is my personal UP movie review.
Starting with a shy child, Carl, who is enamored of a famous explorer, Up has an interesting first ten minutes. It chronicles how he met (in an abandoned house) a tomboy named Ellie who shared his love of the famous explorer Muntz. They grew up, fell in love and got married. One of their goals was to go to Paradise Falls and after not being able to have children decided to save money for that goal. When they were about to go, she died. Carl, who had a business as a balloon vendor became a cranky old man. When court ordered to a nursing home he decided to fulfill their dream and filled his house with balloons to make it fly. Unbeknownst to Carl, a small boy, Russell, was on his front porch when the house took flight. They got lost in a storm and eventually ended up in South America. They had a great adventure and met an interesting bird and the famous explorer Muntz. Muntz turned out to be insane and Carl ended up having to choose between a bird and his house.
What´s Good:
Pixar movies are always a good watch. This movie had great comedy and is fun for the whole family.
The Not So Good:
The opening of the movie was a little sad when Ellie died. Other than that, it was great!
Overall:
Up is a wonderful family movie. There is something for everyone in it, from action to drama, even a little horror (when the bird is discovered), and a love story that will bring tears to your eyes. The dogs with the translating collars are absolutely hilarious and even if you don't like dogs, you will fall in love with Dug (comedic relief in dog form).
Everyone should see this movie.
